InfoKnee is Düreforsögs debut album. It contains almost every track written since the group was formed in 1994. The album was recorded entirely at Sun Studios, christmas 1996 - under heavy influence and supervising of Peter Peter - and mixed at Sweet Silence by Flemming Rasmussen in February 1997. The album was released by Mega Records in Skandinavia, April 1997. *The ultra rare vinyl version of Knee features a gatefold cover with a "pop-up-chicken" and a bonus 7” with a B side by the infamous Escaping From the Zoo. Most of the LP’s was damaged during transportation from the pressing plant, and only about hundred copies survived. **Knee has a couple of quotes from some of the bands favorite movies. The begining of Sea for Yourself derives from the old Universal classic Creature From the Black Lagoon, and Bruce Lee (from "Fists of Fury" a.k.a. "the Chinese Connection") is featured during the break in Land of Queer. ***To those who were not around back in the Knee days, and didn't get a chance to see the live shows of that period, it is quite difficult to describe the percussion set-up of Rune T. It's listed on the album as "rubbish" and consisted of a big metal plate, ca. 1.75 m high and 1.50 m wide, an exhaustpipe hanging from a cymbal stand, a piece of scrap metal on a snare drum stand and a set of woodblocks (five of them). |
