Buy Engine MachineAvailable at Kool Arrow, Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. InfoMost of the material for Engine Machine was written during 2000 and early 2001. The recording sessions were held in October and November 2001 at Sun Studios, with overdub sessions at Ninth World Studio and a vocal session in January 2002 at Medley Studios. The studio recordings were edited together with various live and stock recordings and mixed by Billy Gould and Flemming Rasmussen in February 2002 at Sweet Silence Studios. The album was released on Kool Arrow Records in Europe and the US, June/July 2002. *The track Rundetaarn, kbh. is named after an observatory tower located in the center of Copenhagen. Also Bethnal Green takes its title from an actuel place - the Bethnal Green neighbourhood in Londons East End. The instrumental track was originally written for an exhibition the band did with FOS in 2001 at the VTO gallery in Teesdale Street. The album version of Bethnal Green is comprised of an outdoor field-recording and a soundcheck by Nis, Mads and Andreas (on cowbells) at the Ninth World Studio. |
